How PSI Pricing Works
Every Imaging System Is Different
Medical imaging service cannot be accurately priced using one universal rate. A routine preventive maintenance inspection on a general radiographic system requires a different level of time, testing, equipment, and technical expertise than service on an interventional or biplane imaging system.
PSI reviews the following factors before preparing a quote:
Manufacturer and Model
Pricing varies by OEM, product family, model, system age, software revision, and hardware configuration.
Type of Service
Preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, remote technical support, networking, relocation, installation assistance, and documentation services are priced differently.
System Complexity
Advanced interventional, fluoroscopic, and multi-component imaging systems generally require more labor and specialized procedures than portable or general radiographic equipment.
Labor and Scheduling
Pricing may be affected by the estimated service duration, number of engineers required, regular business hours, after-hours scheduling, weekends, holidays, or urgent response needs.
Travel and Location
Local travel may be included within an agreed service area. Extended travel, airfare, lodging, parking, tolls, and other approved expenses may be quoted separately.
Parts and Materials
Replacement parts, preventive-maintenance kits, filters, batteries, lubricants, cables, and other materials are not included unless specifically stated in the proposal.

Preventive Maintenance Pricing
Preventive maintenance is generally quoted as a fixed-price service based on the manufacturer-recommended procedure and the estimated labor required for the specific system.
The PM quote may account for:
Manufacturer, system model and revision
Single-plane or biplane configuration
Required inspection and performance-verification procedures
Estimated service duration
Specialized test equipment
PM kits and consumable materials
Travel and scheduling requirements
Required service documentation
Whenever possible, PSI provides a written flat-rate proposal before scheduling so the facility understands the anticipated cost and scope of work.
Important: Replacement parts, corrective repairs, physicist testing, and services outside the approved PM scope are quoted separately unless expressly included.
Corrective Maintenance and Service Calls Pricing
Corrective maintenance is normally billed using an approved hourly service structure because the exact cause and repair time may not be known until troubleshooting begins.
A corrective-maintenance quote or service authorization may include:
Initial service-call or diagnostic minimum
On-site troubleshooting labor
Remote technical-support time
Travel time and mileage
After-hours, weekend, or holiday rates
Replacement parts and shipping
Additional engineers or specialized equipment
Follow-up testing and documentation
Before performing work beyond the authorized scope, PSI will communicate findings, recommended repairs, estimated additional labor, and known parts costs whenever reasonably possible.
Technical Support Pricing
Remote and On-Site Technical Support
Technical support may be provided remotely, on-site, or through a combination of both. Pricing depends on the issue, system platform, access requirements, and expected troubleshooting time.
Support may include:
Error-log and fault-code review
System configuration assistance
Software and workflow troubleshooting
Image-quality investigation
Network and DICOM troubleshooting
Worklist and PACS connectivity support
Application and operational guidance
Coordination with facility IT, biomedical engineering, OEM support, or third-party vendors
Remote support may be billed in scheduled time increments. When on-site support is required, the applicable field-service and travel structure will be provided before dispatch.
Installations and Relocations
Project-Based Services
Equipment installations, deinstallations, relocations, system evaluations, and special projects are quoted individually.
Project pricing may consider:
Equipment type and configuration
Scope of disassembly and reassembly
Number of engineers required
Rigging or transportation coordination
Site-readiness requirements
Mechanical, electrical and network support
Testing and operational verification
Travel, lodging and project duration
Documentation and closeout requirements
A written scope of work will identify the services included, customer responsibilities, exclusions, assumptions, and proposed price.
Rate Structure
Regular Business Hours

Holiday and Emergency Response
Holiday and priority emergency response services are subject to technician availability and premium scheduling rates.
Minimum Service Call
Corrective maintenance and on-site technical-support requests may be subject to a minimum 2 hour labor charge.
Travel
Travel time, mileage and approved travel expenses may apply based on the facility location and project requirements.
Specific rates and billing conditions will be clearly identified in the written service proposal or service authorization provided before work begins.
Parts and Additional Costs
What May Be Quoted Separately
Unless expressly included in writing, service pricing does not automatically include:
Replacement parts
Shipping or expedited freight
OEM software licenses or access fees
PM consumable kits
Physicist inspections
Rigging or transportation
Electrical or construction work
Third-party vendor services
Lodging, airfare, parking or tolls
Taxes and regulatory fees
Work outside the approved scope
No major additional work should be performed without customer authorization except when immediately necessary to protect personnel or equipment from an identified safety risk.

A clearly defined scope of work
The applicable pricing structure
Estimated labor or a fixed project price
Known travel charges
Identified exclusions
Parts estimates when available
Authorization requirements for additional work
Professional service documentation after completion
Our pricing reflects the training, specialized knowledge, test equipment, documentation and responsibility required to safely support critical medical imaging systems.
